Oooey-Gooey Popcorn Balls

It’s easy to get the good times rolling, thanks to this recipe from @giaperez.com_. Kids will have a ball making this ooey-gooey treat! Grab some popcorn, butter and a bag of marshmallows to get started. And keep the Wet Ones around because things are about to get sticky!


Once things get popping, kids will love creating these gooey corn confections. This marshmallow version is so easy to make, it’s sure to become a family favorite. Here’s what you need to play ball:

• Two 9”x13” baking pans
• 5 quarts plain popped popcorn
• Medium saucepan
• Mixing spoon
• 6 tablespoons butter + extra 1 tablespoon butter
• 5 cups miniature marshmallows
• Mix-ins (optional): sprinkles, mini chocolate chips, etc.

STEP ONE
Grease two 9”x13” baking dishes, fill with popcorn and set aside.

STEP TWO
Melt butter in a medium saucepan over low heat. Stir in marshmallows and heat until melted, stirring constantly.

STEP THREE
Pour marshmallow mixture over popcorn and mix. Careful, the mixture is hot! Let it cool slightly before handling.

STEP FOUR
Now it's time to throw our popcorn a curve ball! If you'd like, add a mix-in like sprinkles or mini chocolate chips for an extra layer of fun and flavor.

STEP FIVE
Smear hands with the extra tablespoon butter and quickly shape the coated popcorn into baseball-size balls.

STEP SIX
Combine the mixture with the popcorn until each kernel is coated. Here's where it gets sticky!

STEP SEVEN
Wipe those sticky fingers clean with Wet Ones.
